বাংলাদেশের শীর্ষ ২০ রফতানি গন্তব্যের ক্ষেত্রে এক নম্বরে আমেরিকা। বাকি ১৯ দেশের মধ্যে নয়টিই হচ্ছে ইউরোপীয় ইউনিয়নের। এ নয়টি দেশ এবং ইউরোপীয় ইউনিয়নের বাকি দেশগুলো যদি আমরা ধরি, আমাদের রফতানির ৪৩ শতাংশ আসছে শুধু ইউরোপীয় ইউনিয়নের (ইইউ) গন্তব্য থেকে। যদিও দ্বিপক্ষীয় বাণিজ্যে আমেরিকা একক দেশ হিসেবে এক নম্বরে, তথাপি সবচেয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ রফতানি গন্তব্য হচ্ছে ইউরোপীয় ইউনিয়ন মার্কেট। আমাদের রফতানির ক্ষেত্রে এ বাজারের গুরুত্ব অপরিসীম।

Government bank-borrowing debt deepens with the aggregate sum borrowed from the domestic banking sources far overshot the upwardly revised target to hit Tk 1.68 trillion in the past fiscal year. To meet budget shortfall, the government had initially set a bank-borrowing target at Tk 1.04 trillion for the fiscal year 2025-2026 but less-than-expected level of revenue mobilization prompted it to raise the target to Tk 1.18 trillion in the middle of the fiscal. But the growing fund appetite of the government because of poor revenue collection and higher operational expenses surpassed the target by a large margin by the end of the fiscal year, latest statistics show.
